For our September meeting we enjoyed an interesting and informative talk on the history of Southend United Football Club. We learned about how the club got started, their many management changes in their formative years and the different grounds they have played across the town. The club was founded in 1906 and has a long rich history which has played a key part in shaping Southend’s own rich history.
