Our November meeting was a fun evening involving lots of paint and glue as we hosted a decoupage workshop for our members. We learned how to prep and paint our objects to be decorated before considering image placement for maximum effect, using decorative paper napkins to create our designs. There was lots of wafting our copies of Essex WI News as we encouraged the paint and glue to dry!
We had a fun evening and for most of us this was the first time we had tried decoupage. Some ladies are planning to make more at home with their children and grandchildren to give as gifts.
We also had a chocolate advent calendar collection for the Trussell foodbank and we are so grateful for all the donations, we counted over 40 calendars and some other food staples too. Thank you to everyone who donated. You can read more about the Trussell foodbanks here.
