Our April meeting was a busy one with our Annual Meeting taking place followed by a Latin dancing demonstration and salsa class. We were all in a dancing mood as we celebrated WINK’s 11th birthday!
Our annual review reminded us of all the fun we’ve had this last year, including trying croquet for the first time, a decoupage workshop, a walking tour of London, belly dancing and a visit to the Rayleigh windmill and our first ever front cover of Essex WI News! Our committee remains the same, with the addition of Jenny who joined, and Gill assuming the new position of Vice-President in support of Elaine who enters her second year as President.
After the official duties were finished, we took to the floor with Carole from Strictly Smartz who gave us a demonstration of the rumba and cha cha before teaching us a short salsa routine. Many of us had never done the salsa before so it was a lively evening, and we all had a great time dancing together
