Our December meeting was a festive social with fish and chips, festive mocktails and fabulous Christmas jumpers. We also played a hilarious game of ‘left right secret santa’ which is becoming our favourite way to swap presents! It was a fun night with our members and we all enjoyed some relaxed fun before the festive season.
In 2025, we supported many charities including Essex Therapy Dogs, The Trussel Trust, Changing Pathways and Essex Wildlife Trust. We had a range of talks and activities at our meetings including forensic science, art deco, bingo, a cake sale, a plant sale, salsa dancing and Southend United. We’ve taken many trips including the Vogue runway exhibition, London walking tour, Mystery on Sea walking tour, Highgate cemetery tour, Green Island Gardens and a game of croquet.
We had regular dinner outings and quiz nights with our quiz teams earning some good wins. We crafted Easter baskets, paper bows, and started a monthly craft group called Needles and Natter. We also enjoyed several different craft tasters with Tricia’s wonderful craft evenings and our darts team have had fun throughout the year in the WI tournament. What a busy year!
We had a year full of friendship, good times and laughter. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled 2026!
